Anys Reimann is an afropean artist. She studied sculpture and painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.

She has been working for more than 30 years with diverse media and materials such as collage, painting, sculpture, leather, paper, bronze, etc., which embody her leitmotif „Layers of Meaning“. In her work she finds new interpretations of global cultural history, whether from literature, popular belief or pop culture; Attributions and their changes in gender identities, tradition and modernity, form the conceptual core of Anys‘ works, which are primarily based on her sculptural portraits… object-like investigations, and her collage paintings as a medium of manifestation.

„My compositions are human fragments. Dermal. Investigations of sensitivities, sensuality, sensibility and the greatest possible closeness. Intimacy. To get „under the skin“. In search of the essential and the individual.
Being human.
